The Baltimore Rock Opera Society (BROS) is looking for badass actors, singers, and dancers for a new world-premiere rock theater extravaganza, The Electric Pharaoh – which will be presented to the world in the Fall of 2014.
We will be casting 5 primary roles, 5 secondary roles and a large ensemble. We are not specifically looking for any one actor type for any of the roles. All are welcome. Although we do not have a lead role for a young actor, actors aged 8 and up are encouraged to attend!
Auditions will take place Sunday June 1st at 1pm-7:30pm and Monday June 2nd at 7pm-10pm in The Bell Foundry 1st Floor aka BROS HQ: 1539 N. Calvert St., Baltimore, MD 21202 (enter through glass double doors on south side of Federal St, east of Calvert).
ABOUT THE SHOW: The Electric Pharaoh is a rock musical set in a place which was once ancient Egypt, but is now a futuristic city where electricity is currency and a powerful pharaoh keeps the people divided. A boy from the lower crust, full of strange mysteries, uncovers the secrets of the past with his friends and sets off a revolution to the tune of garage rock mixed with larger-than-life electronic rock.Electric Pharaoh is the 6th original production written and produced by the Baltimore Rock Opera Society. This large-scale, science-fiction audio-visual epic will feature a large ensemble, a hybrid rock and electronic live band, extensive multimedia design and a cast of thousands. The show will open in Baltimore for two weekends of performance before going to a single weekend of shows in both Philly and DC.

SUNDAY TIME SLOTS:1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4:30pm, 5:30pm, 6:30pm
MONDAY TIME SLOTS:7pm, 8pm, 9pm
• Group auditions will begin promptly on the hour for each session. Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of your scheduled time.
• Walk-ins will be accepted if they arrive 20 minutes before the scheduled audition slot and as time permits. Please prepare up to five minutes of material.• All auditionees are encouraged to sing something but there are non-singing parts in the show.
• One prepared monologue and one song is encouraged for actors (piano and music playback provided but no accompanist).• A short piece of prepared movement is encouraged for dancers.
• Please dress for MOVEMENT.
• Please come prepared to list any preliminary conflicts from June 1 through November 16.
This is a NON-EQUITY show. Actors will NOT be paid for their work, but will be provided transportation, food and lodging for all non-Baltimore tour dates.
