(Baltimore, MD)—Baltimore Rock Opera Society continues in the epic tradition established by its 2009 debut, Gründlehämmer, this spring with the BROS Double Feature: two original, live, new rock operas titled Amphion and The Terrible Secret of Lunastus that will be debut at the Autograph Playhouse, BROS’ new home. The monstrously righteous world premiere of the BROS Double Feature has been produced by 60+ volunteer artists and will run for three consecutive weekends from May 27 to June 12, 2011, promising to be the year’s largest DIY arts event in Baltimore.BROS has also launched a massive volunteer effort to help renovate the Autograph Playhouse, located at 9 West 25th Street in Charles Village. Ms. Billie Taylor, the building’s owner, is working with BROS to convert the 280-seat cinema into a stage theater that will be home to BROS and other Baltimore theater groups for years to come. “I’m excited that BROS will be the first group to perform in the Autograph Playhouse. Their enthusiasm has really helped bring the theater to life, and it’s going to provide a lot of opportunities for all types of artists in Baltimore,” says Ms. Taylor.BROS leadership shares the excitement of Ms. Taylor’s vision. “This epochal moment shall be followed by 7,000 years of mind-bending rock madness, and all of Baltimore will soon submit to the terror of our guitar-fueled mayhem,” BROS Executive Visionary Commando Aran Keating says. “We have truly engaged the next chakra of insanity on BROS’ transcendental journey to rock nirvana,” Viceroy of External Campaigns Dylan Koehler adds.
