Your favorite rock opera society is looking for badass actors, singers, and dancers for our next original rock opera, BRIDES OF TORTUGA, set to open in October 2016.

ABOUT THE SHOW:
This violent, raucous, rebellious rock and roll musical begins in 1661 in Calais, France, and crosses the open Atlantic Ocean before coming to a bloody close in the Caribbean Sea. The show features a large cast of female leads, epic sets, intensive fight choreography, a powerful vocal ensemble, and a combined rock band/orchestra to create a powerful statement about rage, self-determination and kicking ass on a boat.

ABOUT THE AUDITIONS:
We will be casting 2 female leads and 10 female supporting characters of mixed ages as part of a large, active ensemble. We are casting 1 male lead and 1 young male lead in addition to a male ensemble of approximately 10. We are especially seeking actors with fight/movement training or who are comfortable learning and practicing sustained fight choreography.

We are not seeking any one particular actor type for these roles. Trans actors, non-binary actors, and actors of color are highly encouraged to audition.

Auditions will take place at BROS HQ (first floor of the Bell Foundry building, 1539 N Calvert St, Baltimore MD 21202). Our entrance is through the glass double doors on the south side of Federal Street, east of Calvert.

Actors should prepare one monologue and one song to total no more than 4 minutes of material. ⅛” audio input (headphone cable) into a stereo will be provided for music playback. There are no non-singing roles in this show. Please come dressed in clothing and shoes that are suitable for a group movement exercise. Group auditions will begin promptly on the hour for each session. Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of your scheduled time and be prepared to list your conflicts through November 22. Walk-ins will be accepted as time permits!

This is a NON-EQUITY show. Actors will not be paid for their work, but food will be provided during all tech and show dates.
