On Wednesday, January 14th 7pm at BROS HQ we will be hosting an info night about our next show: The Rock Opera 6-Pack!!
The BROS 6-Pack is an exciting new format for BROS: six single-act rock operas of/around 20 minutes each, premiering first at The Creative Alliance in May and then offered for free to Baltimore during Artscape 2015. BROS are breaking out of our typical format to bring short-form rock musical spectacles to wider audiences in delicious bite sized chunks.
Each of the six short-form rock operas is a completely unique concept that was pitched to BROS from within our community during the last Pitch Party. Live bands for each of the six shows will present totally original music ranging from Delta Blues, Morricone Metal, Punk/Garage, to screwball Arena Rock Anthems. Diverse storylines and subject matter will keep audiences engaged and make for the most entertaining marriage of stagecraft and music Baltimore has ever seen – so we hope!
At the meeting you'll hear all about the different concepts behind each the shows and meet the creative teams who will be leading the charge on the productions – and we will also be recruiting YOU to lend a hand! BROS is a volunteer-based organization – we can't do this without your help!
We're looking for set builders, sign painters, prop scavengers, laser lovers, costumers, and MORE! This is going to be a BRAND-NEW and (we think) SUPER EXCITING venture for BROS, so come on out and hang out with your favorite rock opera society!
Our doors will be open to ALL: be you a veteran since the days of the original Gründlehämmer or a brand new friend of the BROS – we want to see your face! ONWARD TO GLORY!
