Well, we held out as long as possible, but there's no way around it. Due to the extended restrictions on gatherings recommended by the CDC and mandated by the Maryland government, BROS is making some adjustments to our programming for the rest of 2020. Primarily, this means that we will be rescheduling the upcoming production of our next original rock opera, Glitterus: Dragon Rising. The good news is that we've been gifted an unprecedented amount of extra time that will be used to make this the best show it can be!
The show will still take place at Zion Lutheran Church and the new dates for Glitterus are:
September 25th, 26thOctober 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th
Tickets will go on sale August 4th, 2020 for both Glitterus and the new Swanktacular date (November 14th). Stay tuned for a ticket launch announcement. This will obviously affect the rest of our schedule for 2020 as well. In addition to rescheduling the Swanktacular for November 14th, we will be canceling our annual Cosmic Nectar party. As of now, we are still planning to make an appearance at Artscape and our annual New Year's Eve Party at The Ottobar is proceeding as scheduled.
Our annual Member's Party will take place on August 14th, location TBD.
We are all dealing with this situation as best we can, and we can't tell you how much we appreciate your continued support during this difficult time. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out at info@baltimorerockopera.org.
From all of the BROS, we wish you health and safety, and we'll see you soon!
