BROS is committed to being a more diverse company and using anti-racism practices. As part of that endeavor, our Director of Community Engagement Petula Caesar created the Rock Opera 101 concert series in 2020. Initially planned to be a series of live concerts, the COVID-19 pandemic forced us to move online. Over the course of three live-streamed concerts, our partner - local rock musician Jonathan Gilmore a full stage of jaw-droppingly talented local musicians and singers - shone a light on the history of erasure of black musicians from rock n' roll through performances that covered songs from classic rock, black-focused theater, and Afro-futurism.
